SportsCare has been proudly serving the Memphis community for over 30 years. We have a large facility nestled on a four-acre "playground" full of room for children to run and play in a safe, happy environment. On-site swimming pools, tennis and basketball courts, game room, arts & crafts, and activity-filled gymnasium are just a few of the activities that your children can participate in on a daily basis. Meet the Straussers

Mark Strausser and his wife Katie are the owners of SportsCare. Before coming to the Center, Katie graduated from the University of Memphis with a Masters Degree in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership and was a school teacher here in Memphis. She brings her warm heart, friendly personality, strong academic background and love for children to the SportsCare family.

 

Mark grew up in Bartlett, playing basketball at Christian Brothers High School and Rhodes College.  Eventually, Mark went on to receive his MBA from Middle Tennesee State University.  Throughout his childhood, Mark attended SportsCare, and he even worked at the Center as a Counselor for several years when he was older. 

 

SportsCare had such an impact on Mark's life that it became his mission to continue the legacy of SportsCare--providing a safe, happy environment for children that encourages an active lifestyle and lots of fun.
